There was a happy event

It seems like our recent posts have been a bit serious, doesn’t it? Maybe we’ve been a little too enthusiastic about launching this blog. So, let’s switch gears and share something more lighthearted this time—a fun event we recently attended!

This week, I had the pleasure of joining a wedding celebration. It wasn’t just any wedding—it was the wedding of one of our employees’ daughters!

Up until now, most of the weddings I’ve attended have been for our employees themselves. But since Mishow has been around for quite a while, we’re starting to see employees whose children are old enough to tie the knot. Of course, these are our veteran team members who’ve been with us for many years and whom we deeply rely on.

At the same time, it was a bittersweet reminder of my own age! There’s a famous Japanese saying: “Other people’s kids and bitter melons grow up fast.よその子とゴーヤは育つのが早い” (It’s a joke, but if you’re curious, look it up—it’s a fun way to explore Japanese culture!)

Vietnamese weddings and receptions are incredibly lively, filled with joyous celebrations and lots of people gathering to share in the happiness. It’s undoubtedly one of the happiest days in a person’s life, and being part of such a special occasion made it a very happy day for me as well.

Wishing the newlyweds all the best in their life together! And to our dear veteran team members—congratulations, and please keep working hard with us for many years to come!
