CSR Audit is Coming – Why It Still Makes Us Sharpen Our Focus, Even After Several Rounds

As I was wondering what to write about in this week's blog, a surprise notification landed in our inbox—a CSR audit is on the way!

Our factory has mainly focused on the Japanese market, so we haven’t had many opportunities to go through third-party CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) audits.

Of course, we follow all Vietnamese laws thoroughly in our daily operations—working hours, occupational safety, and social insurance are well managed. However, CSR audits go beyond legal compliance. They demand alignment with international standards and buyer-specific requirements, which makes them more rigorous.

This time, we have about two weeks to get everything in order. We need to review a wide range of documents, including company regulations, labor contracts, attendance records, wage sheets, and equipment safety check logs.

Employee interviews will also take place, so clear communication and raising awareness among our staff is essential. One of the most important things is ensuring everyone feels comfortable enough to just be themselves during the audit.

While it can feel like a lot of pressure, we view this as a great chance to reassess our internal systems from an objective perspective. All departments are now working together to gather information and double-check that nothing is overlooked.

Despite the short preparation time, we’re determined to make this an opportunity to level up our entire operation as a team.

Once the audit is complete, we hope to share what we’ve learned and improved.
    Thanks for your support!
